I
believe a prayer is the most personal gift that we can offer to those
we care about. Prayer is definitely the gift that gives over and over
again. I have been inspired to take the letters of a person’s name
and personalize a prayer for them. Writing these prayers for my family
and friends has been such a blessing to me. Every prayer I write contains
the four elements that Jesus taught the disciples to pray: adoration,
supplication, forgiveness and thanksgiving. There are no duplicates; each
one is an original. I also bless each one with a special prayer for the
giver and the receiver. Knowing God’s word and how to use it in
prayer can be priceless to us in our walk with Christ. One of the most
pressing things we as Christians are called to do is share our hope with
others.
"But
in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to
give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for
the hope you have". --1Peter 3:15--
